Job Description:
-Implement and operate highly available runtime environments for the BOSCH Multi Service Platform
-Perform 2nd Level Support for these environments
-Ensure and maintain support coverage
-Communicate and follow up on major issues during trouble-shooting and for post-mortem analysis
-Execute scalability and redundancy concepts
-Installation and configuration of Java Application Servers
-Integration with Databases Systems
-System administration on Linux/Unix systems
-Deployment and test of new software releases
-Provide operational status reports, document application integration specific knowledge from trouble-shooting perspective and provide cross-training/knowledge sharing with rest of the team
-Synchronize with the development and engineering teams in our German headquarter
-Coordination with hosting partners
-On-Call Support
Requirements:
-B.S. or equivalent in Computer Science or have an extremely technical background
-Minimum 3 years of experience as a system engineer
-Working knowledge of ITIL: Incident, Change and Release Management
-Problem solving in complex and multi-disciplined environment (both technical and non-technical)
-Ability to work in teams
-Ability to communicate up, down and across the organization in both business and technical terms
-Agility in learning, both in conceptual knowledge and specific domain topics
-Excellent knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration
-Focus on OpenSource technologies
-Proven ability to operate and debug JEE Application Servers
-Knowledge of Glassfish is a plus
-Good understanding of JEE and OSGi
-Experience with complex DBA tasks (Oracle, MySQL)
-Comprehensive understanding of internet and network technologies (Routing, DNS, Firewalling etc.)
-Experience with system monitoring solutions
-Knowledge on usage of Hudson, Maven, Ant and other build tools
-English fluency a must
