Credit Analyst (5 months Temporary Placement)

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing a $100M portfolio of Accounts Receivable
Setting and reviewing credit lines using financial ratio analysis and
credit bureau reports, administering credit holds, having daily
contact with customers to insure payments due to the Company are made
according to our Terms & Conditions, working with Customer Service,
Sales, Finance, Shipping, and/or any other party to resolve disputed
invoices, and responding to various internal and external audit
questions
Provides analysis and interpretation of the customers' financial
status for proper evaluation of risk and the establishment of proper
credit limits
Interacts with sales support, customer service, and accounts
receivable in reconciling accounts
Prepares recommendations and makes credit approval decisions on new accounts
Analyzes and reports on credit memo and write-off activity
Monitors and communicates credit concerns to management
Requirements:

Minimum a BS degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience
Preferably with working knowledge of PeopleSoft and GetPaid (a
collection software application)
This role is focused on policy decisions/judgment regarding credit
offers (unlike placing routine calls to customers for collection of
past due accounts)
Period:

Mid April-09 to mid September-09
