Full-time Optic Specialist

Job Description:

-Performs a variety of routine to complex tasks in support of capital equipment assembly operations. This includes managing subassembly build from start to finish and escalating issues to ensure production plan dates are met.


Requirements:

-Technicians are expected to be detail-oriented, quality-minded and willing to stop production to fix critical issues.
-Knowledge of assembly and bonding of optical components & laser rails
-Use various hand tools and precision tools, like dial indicators, calipers, and Zygo interferometer
-Able to use HeNe laser for simple optic alignments
-Follow written procedures (ATI and IVPs) and adhere to BP 155 guidelines. Interact with engineering to establish new procedures or redline current ATIs.
-Good communication skill.
-Work in a safe and efficient manner.
-Escalate any issues that will jeopardize cycle time.


Education Requirements:

-Degree or an equivalent combination of experience & training
-5 years’ related experience in optics
-Familiar with ESD, clean room & optics handling, bonding & cleaning protocols
-Proficient with SAP, Team Center & computer applications
